1. SCOPE & ACCEPTANCE

These Terms of Sale govern all purchases made on www.maisoncharlot.com and www.maisoncharlot.fr. By placing an order, the buyer fully and unconditionally accepts these Terms of Sale. Maison Charlot reserves the right to update these terms at any time; the applicable version is the one in force at the time of the order.

2. LEGAL CAPACITY

Orders may only be placed by persons of legal age in their country of residence, or by minors with parental or guardian authorization.

3. PRODUCTS

Maison Charlot sells art prints and art posters. All artworks are protected by copyright. Any total or partial reproduction is strictly prohibited without prior written authorization from Maison Charlot.

Product descriptions and images are provided for informational purposes. Maison Charlot makes every effort to ensure accuracy but cannot guarantee that all information is complete, current, or error-free.

4. PRICES

All prices are expressed in euros (€) and include the cost of the product, handling, and packaging. Shipping costs are not included and are calculated at checkout.

Prices are subject to change without prior notice. The price applicable to an order is the price displayed at the time the order is confirmed.

VAT: Maison Charlot is not subject to VAT pursuant to Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code (CGI). No VAT is therefore applicable.

International orders: The buyer is solely responsible for any customs duties, local taxes, import duties, or state taxes that may apply in their country of residence.

5. PAYMENT

Payment is processed securely via:

  • Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through Stripe
  • PayPal

All transactions are protected by SSL encryption. Payment is due in full at the time of order.

6. GIFT CARDS

Gift cards are available for purchase and are sent by email. The gift card amount is deducted from the total basket; any remaining balance must be paid separately. Gift cards are valid for one year from the date of purchase. Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

7. ORDER CONFIRMATION

An order confirmation email is sent upon successful placement of an order. If no confirmation is received within 60 minutes, please contact Maison Charlot via the contact form or at info@maisoncharlot.com.

It is the buyer's responsibility to provide accurate personal and delivery information when placing an order.

8. PREPARATION & SHIPPING

Orders are prepared and dispatched within 3–5 business days. Art prints are carefully packaged in a protective tube and kraft paper, and shipped via La Poste (Colissimo) with a tracking number provided.

Estimated delivery times:

  • France: 1–3 business days
  • Europe: 5–8 business days
  • Rest of the world: 7–28 business days

If an order has not been received within 14 business days of dispatch, the buyer should first contact their local post office. If the issue remains unresolved, Maison Charlot should be contacted for a reship or refund.

9. ORDER CANCELLATION & ADDRESS CHANGES

Cancellations and address changes must be requested as soon as possible, before the order leaves the printing studio. Once the package has left the production facility, no cancellation or address change can be processed, and no refund will be issued for this reason.

10. RETURNS & REFUNDS

Buyers have 15 days from the date of receipt to request a return. To be eligible:

  • The art print must be in its original condition.
  • It must be returned in the original protective tube.
  • Prior notification to Maison Charlot is required — returns without prior notice will not be accepted.

Refunds are processed after the returned item has been received, inspected, and approved. The refunded amount includes the price of the art print and the original shipping cost. Return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility.

Refunds are issued via the same payment method used for the original purchase.

Exceptions:

  • If the wrong art print is received, a photo must be sent to Maison Charlot and a replacement will be shipped at no extra cost.
  • If the product is damaged during transport, a replacement will be sent at no extra cost.
  • Gift cards are non-refundable.

11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All art prints and artworks sold by Maison Charlot are protected under copyright law. Any reproduction, distribution, or use — in whole or in part — without prior written consent from Maison Charlot is strictly prohibited.

12. PERSONAL DATA

Personal data collected during the ordering process is processed in accordance with Maison Charlot's [Privacy Policy], available on the website.

13. APPLICABLE LAW & DISPUTES

These Terms of Sale are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable resolution will be sought first. Failing that, the competent courts of Paris shall have jurisdiction.
